I’m pretty sure it was the RNIB since I’ve given to them before. Ended up blocking the number anyway.

Got a call from someone saying they were with the RNIB, thanking me for taking part in their lottery through my phone bill - thing is, I’ve never entered it! She asked for my bank info so they could set up a Direct Debit for future payments. I wouldn’t give it to her and told her I’d handle it online if I wanted to. The lady was really polite and sounded proper convincing, though.

For weeks, these lot kept ringing me daily. I decided to call back and found out it was the RNIB. I had already given them some money before, but instead of being grateful, they just kept pestering me. They bombard me with calls, texts, emails and even letters all the time now. So, if you’re thinking about donating, maybe think twice before handing over your details.

Kept on ringing me with no real reason, thankfully I’ve got an answerphone just in case it’s important. If it was something serious, they could’ve sent a letter instead. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.
