Not sure if this number was genuine or faked. I got a call on my home phone and the person on the other end, who sounded like they were working in a noisy call centre and had an Indian accent, claimed to be from BT Openreach. They told me that my internet was slowing down because harmful files were being downloaded onto my 'router box'. Then they said they could fix it but wanted me to install some software first. Seemed like a total scam to me.

My mate has been getting nonstop calls from this number 01733 237593. She’s stuck at home and these people keep threatening to cut her off, which is really upsetting as the phone is her only way to stay in touch with her family and friends. It’s happening all day long and it’s quite worrying for her.
