Got a call about some car accident. The woman wouldn’t say which company she was working for. Then she handed me over to someone else who didn’t sound like English was their native tongue, but they weren’t European either. When I mentioned data protection rules, the call was ended abruptly by her hanging up.

When I questioned how they’d got my info and brought up data protection, they handed me over to someone else who sounded like English wasn’t her first language. I kept asking for the company’s name and mentioned that this could be a data protection issue, then they just cut the call.
