On the 6th of January they kept ringing, which seems believable but honestly quite worrying, especially for older folks.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft, saying there was a problem with my computer that had to be fixed. I told them I actually use an iPad and they just called me a liar. After giving them a piece of my mind, I ended the call. Then, out of nowhere, they rang me up again about 4 hours later...

Loads of annoying calls popping up, but when I pick up, there's always silence on the other end.

I got a call from someone who sounded Indian, and they actually threatened to harm my dad. The first call was at 10 in the morning on the 6th of January 2015, then they rang again an hour later.

This week every time they called, I just ended the call straight away thinking it was a scam. Today though, I thought I'd hear them out. I faked understanding their instructions, and suddenly they started yelling stuff like "are you really that stupid?" "who gave you permission to use a computer?" and "you can't even read properly." They slammed the phone down. I've reported them to both Ofcom and Action Fraud since. What a lovely way to begin the day!

Got a call from them around 8:20 in the morning, told them I wasn’t interested and still half asleep in bed. Then they rang back at 10 o’clock and I just ended the call. Definitely a scam, watch out.

This number called me right around 9 in the morning, and some bloke with an Indian accent said he was from Windows tech support. I told him straight up, "Do you really think I’m daft enough to pay you for a chat about Windows at this hour? Go ahead if you want, but I’m not interested." Not surprised, he just ended the call! :)

I reckon this was a scammer pretending to offer dodgy tech support. As soon as I questioned them, they turned quite nasty.

Got a call from this number bright and early at 8am, claiming to be from Windows. They asked if I was the primary user of my computer. I told them I don’t have a computer, but they insisted there was an issue they could fix. I said if I did have one, a mate would sort it out for me. Then they just hung up. Pretty obvious scam, they really should be shut down.

Really sneaky scam, definitely not from Microsoft or their support. They tried to get me to pay £94.

i got a call from some lot wanting to get remote access to my computer using econnect.ws or something similar. i let them chat away for a bit before telling them i’d be reporting them to ofcom. that seemed to do the trick, they went quiet and the calls stopped pretty quick. watch out out there folks!

This number has called me three times today, claiming to be from Windows and saying my laptop was infected with hacking files. I said I'd handle it myself, but the guy insisted I couldn’t and asked me to press some keys like ctrl and R together with something else. When I told him I already did, he burst out saying, “Do you take me for a fool? Was I born yesterday, you f***er!” That’s when I was sure this wasn’t any official Windows support. If you get a call from this number, just ignore it.

Got a call from this number thrice today, right when I was trying to put my little one down for a nap. The person on the line claimed to be from Microsoft, saying my PC had a problem. I asked if I could talk to their supervisor, but they just ended the call. Pretty clear this is some sort of scam, especially since I’m signed up with the TPS. Really hope someone can sort this out.
