Got a call from someone speaking with an Asian accent, real insistent that I’d score a 50% off deal for a year if I checked out some code they’d sent me by text. I pretended not to understand and next thing, they shoved me onto a ‘manager’ who was even more aggressive. Now I’ve got a text warning me about fraud, saying I should NEVER give that code to anyone, not even O2 employees. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with 02. I told them I already had a contract with 02, but after chatting for about ten minutes, they started asking for my bank details, including card numbers and my address. Definitely block this number! They've also been ringing from numbers starting with 0161, 01134, and 0288. Watch out, folks!!

Total scam alert. Blocking these annoying scammers never helped me as they just ring from different numbers constantly. What actually worked was me giving a loud whistle straight into the phone every time they called - it freaked them out! Since I started doing that, the calls have dropped loads. I got a call from someone claiming to be from O2, offering me a loyalty discount. When I tried to ask which account they meant, the Asian woman seemed confused and just kept saying it was because I was a loyal customer. I asked again for clarification about the account but she just hung up on me. It's sad that people might end up being tricked by these kinds of scams. I called the number back and it went to an answering machine saying the person was currently busy.

It's definitely a scam! If you get dodgy calls, just text the number along with the scam details to 7726. This helps your phone network spot and warn others about the scam number, but it only works if lots of people report it. Make sure you don't report legit numbers to 7726 by mistake. You can also send scam texts there, and it’s a good idea to snap a screenshot and email it to the police at '[email protected]' so they can look into it.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from Three, offering some deal about a new iPhone for £15 a month since I was supposedly with Three. The guy, talking with an Indian accent, said his name was Frank 😂, started asking for my bank info to change my direct debit and even my card details. I told him I’d call Three myself to check it out and he suddenly got rude. Total dodgy scammers that lot.
