I got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, saying she was from the British Telecom refund team. She claimed there had been a mistake and that I'd supposedly overpaid around £200, so she wanted to send the money back to me. She asked for my bank info and date of birth to process the refund. Of course, I didn’t give her anything. I asked her how she arrived at the £200 figure, and she said I’d been overcharging by about £5 to £8 every month for a year. I told her that maths didn’t add up, so she must be daft. Then she just hung up on me. Definitely a dodgy call.

i got a call from a woman who sounded asian, said she was with sky. as soon as i mentioned i’m on the telephone preference service she just hung up straight away.
