When I inquired about which company he represented, he insisted it was the technical support centre but wouldn’t specify whose. I pressed him on how he acquired my number, and he mentioned it came from a public database-likely a sort of phone directory. After a good five minutes of this nonsense, I told him to take a hike. Having spent more than four decades in the computer industry, I certainly wasn't falling for his ridiculous ruse.
