seems like a tv licence scam, they want your details right off the bat. when i asked what for, all they said was it was about tv licensing. then they just cut me off before i could say more once they saw i wasnt interested. they just want your money, so dont fall for it! best to block that number straight away.

Got calls from this number three times within a few days. The first two times, I wasn’t able to pick up, but left messages with some robot voice saying something about my TV licence. When I finally answered the third call, they quickly asked for my address. I wanted to know why, and they said it was about payment stuff. Told them I've already paid my licence and said I handle all that by email, not phone. Asked again why they needed my details and then they just cut me off. Definitely feels like a scam, so I’d recommend blocking this number.

These lot keep ringing me and I picked up once. They claimed to be from the BBC TV licence team. I told them I don’t need a licence since I just watch catch-up TV, which I’ve told them before. Don’t know how they even got my number, as I only share it with mates and never put it up anywhere. To top it off, they tried to scare me with court action if I didn’t cough up for a TV licence. They said it was about my TV licence, but the very next day I got a call from the official TV licence number, the usual 0300. It might be legit, but I got a funny feeling cause they seemed to know I'd missed a payment and were pushy about getting me to pay up. I asked if anyone else with a card could pay instead, just to see what they'd say. I kept it polite, but honestly, there's no way I'm giving them info - I don't even know who they are! I told them I'll just double my direct debit next month. Be careful everyone, if you get calls like that, hang up and only call the proper number on the official website. Better safe than sorry.
