At 11:37 on Friday the 13th of July, 2018, I got a call from someone with an American accent. They said they were from our internet company and claimed that foreign websites had hacked us. They warned our system would be turned off in 48 hours. I didn’t pay attention after that and just hung up.

Got a call from an American woman’s voice, said my internet was gonna be cut off in a day because my IP was supposedly hacked by like a bunch of countries. Then she told me to press 1 to speak to a tech expert. Total scam, obviously hung up right away. Still, it makes me wonder, how are these lot allowed to threaten folks like that without any consequences? Feels pretty dodgy.
