I've been getting loads of calls where no one talks. It's pretty annoying how often this keeps happening. Just silence on the other end every time I pick up.

So, I got a call around 11.30 in the morning from some international number. I answered but there was just silence and then it ended suddenly. Pretty sure it was one of those scam calls, something about pasta or Italian food, something weird like that. Total scam call for sure.

Some bloke phoned me from San Lorenzo, Italy. He asked a couple of questions about Italian cuisine and then tried to push a hamper full of Italian stuff on me. After that, he ended the call but rang back from another number, stayed silent the whole time, and then just dropped the call.

Got a call from some guy claiming he was ringing from Italy about Italian food! It’s been years since he last tried this. I vaguely recall Hevesy pestering me a while back to buy pasta and other stuff. Ended the call straight away! 😡

I usually avoid picking up my landline because of calls like these. When I checked the answerphone, there was nothing left.

I got a call from some skincare company supposedly in Switzerland. When I asked the lady to spell out the company name, she started with "D" but then said "E for Ist" or something like that. I had no idea what 'Ist' meant, so I asked her, and then she just hung up on me! There’s no way she was actually Swiss, that was dodgy.

Lately, we've been getting loads of scam calls, and I’m pretty sure someone sold our landline number. Normally, I’m careful and only share my mobile except with things like the doctor or utility companies. This sudden flood of dodgy calls is really annoying!
