Haste is the name, and they’re basically hired by electricity providers. After some power glitches, they came to inspect and fix our electrical stuff. They managed to get our oven, microwave and even a radio working again. I reckon they’re pretty reliable.

Got a call from Haste Ltd, who said they were working with UKPN and some energy companies. Apparently, they’d been hired to sort out my DNO fuse upgrade as a subcontractor for UKPN.

So the calls I got were from a place called Haste. I found out they do work for SSEN, that is Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, acting as their outside contractor or something.

Haste called me a few days ago. They’re hired by Scottish Power to handle electrical safety checks and fix problems or swap out faulty stuff. I found them to be proper professional and definitely legit. Definitely not a scam or anything dodgy.

Didnt know that energy firms hire subcontractors, I always assumed WPD handles all the maintenance and network stuff themselves. Turns out they get others to do it!

I got a letter and phone call from Haste recently. They say they work with energy companies like EON, Scottish Power, and UK Power Networks, handling things from fixing faults to checking electrical safety on site. If you’ve had a similar contact, it’s best to double-check with your energy provider to make sure they really did ask Haste to get in touch. After that, you should ring Haste back quickly and arrange a time for them to come out.

SSE and the other dnos were really quick to get the power back on and fix electrical stuff after the fault in the network. Proper good service from them.

They claimed to be working for SSE as subcontractors, but since I'm actually with EDF, it sounds like a total scam to me.

Claimed to be subcontractors working for SSE, and mentioned they needed to verify the voltage, although SSE had not requested such a thing.

Got a call from someone claiming to work with SSE as a subcontractor, said they needed to check the voltage at my property. Seemed a bit off to me though.

Does anyone happen to know who this might have been?

Someone called claiming they fixed electric panels after issues, but it was all a con. They just want to get into your home to steal personal info and stuff. Best to just end the call and tell the police about it.
