If Virgin Media owns this number, why would BT call me about a breach in my internet? A woman with a strong Thai accent told me to switch on my computer so she could guide me through some security steps. She even said she’d give me my BT account number. I told her no thanks, appreciated the call politely, and then ended the conversation. Obviously, the real BT never got in touch to explain any security issues.
