I received a rather alarming call from a recorded male voice, asserting he was relaying a message from BT Engineering. He warned that my landline would be disconnected in the next day unless I took action-pressing 1 to speak to an engineer or 2 to go ahead with the disconnection. Having been informed by BT before that these types of calls are nothing more than scams, I decided to hang up. The tone of the message was quite forceful, and I believe it’s high time such tactics are dealt with.
