I got a bunch of emails saying that the old Mailbox version would be cut off on April 23rd, supposedly from ‘MEDIAVIRGIN Broadband’. Obviously a scam since that company doesn’t exist at all. It’s definitely not from Virgin Media. Be careful and don’t click on ‘Go to Login’ or anything like that. Just delete them straight away.

Got an email that said it was from BT, and at the bottom was this number. It seemed a bit sketchy to me, so I didn’t bother clicking any links. Decided to look the number up here - turns out it’s definitely a scam.

Both me and my partner got an email within hours of one another with this number at the end. The formatting, wording and sender were typical phishing signs, so we reported and blocked it like always. Big thanks to all who shared on here - it's the first time I managed to spot a phishing email just by recognising the phone number.

I got an email that looked like it was from BT, but it was pretty obvious it was a scam. The message included a phone number at the bottom, so I decided to look it up and sure enough, it was dodgy. I’ve sent it off as a phishing report online so they can look into it.

Got an email that claimed to be from BT about my broadband, saying my account was gonna be shut down by the end of September. The email looked totally dodgy, nothing like the usual BT stuff I get, and at the bottom there was this number 01729 623438. Honestly, don’t ring that number, it’s a scam!

Phishing emails can be really risky but it’s a good idea to report them to the cybercrime authorities who need details like the sender’s email and any links included. You can visit the Action Fraud website where they have a section on how to report suspicious calls, texts, emails and websites with clear instructions. Just forward any dodgy emails to '[email protected]' and they’ll take it from there.

Received an email claiming to be from BT Broadband using this phone number, but it was a total scam. The message didn’t look anything like what BT usually sends out. I’ve already reported it to [email protected] and also to [email protected] just to be safe. Definitely something to watch out for!

Seems like a classic scam to me. The email address looked totally fake and the message was all pushy and rushed. It said it was from BT, warning me my email was about to be cut off. Then it told me to log in using a link they gave. I wouldn’t trust it or click anything if I was you.
