My landline rang and it was one of those automated messages telling me my IP address was in danger and to press ‘1’ to fix it. I didn’t fall for it and just hung up straight away. I’m pretty sure it was a scam, so I’ve also blocked the number and switched on call blocking on my phone.

I got a call from a number nearly the same as one used by scammers pretending to be from TalkTalk tech support. Seemed fishy right away.
