I almost got caught up in this scam, which really shocked me since I’m normally quite cautious. Thankfully, I couldn’t make sense of what they were saying, which gave me time to realise something fishy was going on. It just goes to show even the most careful people can be fooled sometimes.

Got a voicemail from 'TalkTalk' claiming my internet was hacked. Honestly, I doubt it's true. The message asked me to press 1 to speak to an advisor or 2 to cancel my internet. Sounds like a classic scam to me, probably just trying to trick people into handing over personal or payment info.

Received a call at half eight on Saturday morning. When I picked up, there was a complete silence - as if some automated system had dialled a whole bunch of folks and I just happened to be the one who answered a split second too late.
