At about 11:41am on Tuesday 12th June, I got a call from a woman with an American accent saying she was from BT. She told me my phone line had been hacked and was supposedly being accessed from Mexico based on my IP. She asked me to press 1 for a technician. I just hung up and reported the number to the Telephone Preference Service, but they said the number wasn’t registered with them, so they couldn’t assist.
