I answered the call, but there was absolute silence on the line-just a dead air that lasted a few seconds before it disconnected. I've decided to block the number.

What a dreadful bunch! They've got the audacity to impersonate EE, calling folk with offers for SIM-only upgrades. I'm convinced they're operating out of some Indian call centre. And let me tell you, even if you’re an existing EE user, steer clear of these scammers. This number is absolutely not legit!

I rang an unfamiliar number but got no response.

Someone rang me claiming to be from EE with a SIM-only upgrade offer. The accent was super strong, sounded Indian, and honestly, it was hard to get what they were saying. I doubt this call was actually coming from the UK.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with EE, but they didn’t mention anything about sending texts or showing me upgrade offers on my account like I usually expect from mobile firms. Feels dodgy, so I’m guessing it was a scam.
