I received a call from someone claiming to be with the BT Accounts Team, going on about potential savings I could take advantage of. However, when I requested my account number for confirmation, she refused to provide it and her tone shifted to quite combative. It strikes me as rather dodgy for a company to disguise itself in such a manner - it certainly raises a huge red flag regarding their integrity and reliability.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT’s Accounts Dept talking about some savings I could get. When I asked for my account number, she said she wasn’t allowed to share that and then got pretty pushy. To me, if a company is sneaky about who they really are, it just screams dodgy and not trustworthy at all.
