I got a call from one number telling me my internet was at risk and would be disconnected in a day. They asked me to press 1 to chat with someone, who oddly had the same name as the owner of this phone. When I asked for more details, he told me to use my mobile. I called him out, saying it sounded like a trick to grab my IP or something dodgy. I ended the call. Then he rang me again from the first number claiming he was part of cyber security. I just hung up straight away.

I answered and there was nothing but silence on the other end. After waiting around 15 or 20 seconds, I got a message saying "the other person has cleared".

We have no acquaintances in St Albans whatsoever. The caller didn’t bother to leave a message, so I’ve decided to block their number for good.
