Got an email from dan locke17 redmires lane sheffield, saying I owe £50 for some dragon ball thing. It was like $10 or something, the email said. When I clicked the link, it took me to a fake Paypal page asking for my bank details, sort code, account number, even my driving licence number. I deleted the email straight away. Really glad I checked the comments here first.

I got an email from someone called Dan Locke claiming I owed £50, but I just ignored it since PayPal usually contacts you by your actual name, not your email address.

My brother got a dodgy call on 18th September around 6:15pm saying his computer had some problem. He told them he doesn’t even own a computer and then the line just cut off!

Yeah, I received the same scam email. Luckily found this site and deleted it straight away. I get loads of phishing attempts from fake PayPal accounts. It’s really tough to know who to trust these days, and they’re causing so much trouble for everyone.

Got a call from some Asian guy. Messed about with him a bit, kept him guessing. When he realised, he said I’d be paying £5 a minute, so I just told him to go ahead. He got right nasty after that. In the end, he hung up. Proper rude and disgusting bloke.

Received a call today, the 18th of September 2015, claiming there was an issue with my computer. They addressed me by my name. When I mentioned I used a Mac, they promptly disconnected the call! How peculiar!

I've received a plethora of calls from this number, ostensibly seeking access to my computer. Do not fall for their con; they claim to represent TalkTalk but are nothing more than fraudsters. What’s more alarming is that they've used various numbers - attempts to ring back result in an automated message saying the number isn't recognised. A particularly baffling instance was when I was contacted from a number starting with 0015. Is that somehow linked to TalkTalk, or does your provider differ from them? Best to stay vigilant!

Got a strange call from some bloke who never said who he was but he spoke to my missus by her first name, said he wanted to chat about ‘computers’. Felt off, honestly. She said no and he hung up pretty quick. Sounds like one of those computer scams others have mentioned.

Absolutely infuriating! After a couple of minutes of silence, the caller just hangs up. Most of those nuisance calls seem to have died down, yet the E-letter antics seem to be the newest trend!

It's quite frustrating getting those pesky calls, isn't it? You pick up the phone, only for them to just hang up on you. It's like a game of cat and mouse, and we're definitely not the ones enjoying it!
