Got a call from someone claiming they were with EE, telling me I had to get a new SIM because all old ones would stop working in a couple of days. It was pretty obvious it was a scam. When I told them I wasn’t interested and didn’t need a new SIM, the “customer support” person started saying they’d block my current SIM, which really gave it away as fake. You could tell they were annoyed that I wasn’t falling for it, and I made sure not to hand over any personal or security details.
