I got a call from someone claiming to be Julie from Amazon, although she couldn't tell me which department she was from. She kept insisting my mum needed to check her laptop or computer, but mum doesn't have either - she only uses her phone. The caller said they had sent an email, but mum never received anything. What’s odd is they rang from a local number in St Austell, Cornwall. They were really forceful about wanting to access her computer or laptop. Seems like a total scam to me.
