Saw this scam popping up all over the news sites like wwwspaldingtoday[###], apparently flagged by action fraud. Really dodgy stuff.

Hands down the most annoying prerecorded message I've come across! Right away, they claimed my BT internet was about to be disconnected and told me to press 1 to sort it or 2 to let it be cut off. I hit option 3 instead and gave them a big raspberry. If there's a real problem with your BT or any other service, they’ll send a letter or email, never ring you out of nowhere with some scary “act now” message. These con artists could seriously scare older folks into reacting out of panic. Honestly, they should all be rounded up and dumped on a deserted island with no gadgets or phones.
