Got a call at 9.25pm on the 1st Feb 2017. The bloke didn’t even say a word - total harassment in my opinion. What is BT planning to do about this? I’m so fed up I’m thinking of cutting off my landline, cancel my mobile plan and just switching to a pay-as-you-go sim, like my brother did. A bloke with a strong foreign accent rang me, and I struggled to understand what he was on about. I mentioned I was feeling unwell, which was true, but he didn’t seem to care and kept going. Eventually, I just said goodbye and hung up.

My phone showed 'Unavailable' alongside a number that looked like a landline one. When I tried calling back, I got a recorded message saying "the number you have dialled has not been recognised." I answered when it rang, but the caller stayed silent, so I ended the call. Then I tried ringing them back to maybe annoy them a bit, but nobody picked up. I got myself a BT Blocker Phone because I was fed up with all the rubbish calls. It has this call announce thingy, so when some unknown number rings, you can decide if you want to answer or not. Just block any dodgy numbers when they call, and they won’t be able to bug you again. You can block up to 1000 numbers, which is plenty. Once blocked, your phone stays quiet even if they keep trying, but you can still look back at your call log to see who’s been ringing. Honestly, best purchase ever. No more annoying interruptions all day long!
