I never tell him a thing. I just mess about with him till he gets bored and hangs up. Don’t ever share your details with these lot!

Got another call from a call centre in India today. The person on the phone had a very strong Indian accent and kept asking me loads of questions but I just kept saying no, no, no to everything. Eventually, they just hung up on me. It’s funny how these calls always come with an Indian accent now - years ago it used to be African accents. I really don’t get why no one in India seems to crack down on these scammers, or maybe they just don’t care. Personally, I love messing about with them and winding them up a bit, sometimes getting a bit cheeky, which I find quite fun. They’re trying to waste my time, so I’m happy to waste theirs too, with a bit of sass thrown in for good measure!

I told her I wasn’t sure, that me and my partner have joint life insurance but he handles it. She pushed to know if it was with a bank, and I just repeated that I didn't know and he takes care of it. Then she wanted to speak to him, which I flat out refused. She asked me to find the documents and give her details, but I said no way am I giving that info over the phone. After that she just said okay and hung up. Definitely sounded like some kind of health insurance scam. I quite enjoy stringing them along though - keeps them busy and stops them from conning some poor pensioner out of their savings!

Just like plenty of others have said, this guy sounded quite young, with an Indian accent, saying he was ringing from the "Department of Public Health and Social Security" wanting to check if I'd had my flu jab. I asked him where he was even calling from, and he chuckled and said "England, of course!" So I told him, "Well, that’s odd, because we don’t have any such department here in England."
