Received a rather dodgy call earlier, claiming to be about my computer. The person had an Asian accent and I struggled to grasp what they were saying. I decided to hang up and swiftly blocked the number. Strangely enough, I've started receiving international calls since then, with the number displaying as 'unavailable'. This is nothing but a con. They claim there's an issue or glitch with your computer or laptop. What they really want is for you to visit a particular site where you'll be instructed to carry out certain actions. These actions essentially grant the caller access to your machine and every bit of information on it. They can then infect your device, pilfer your bank or credit card details, and wipe out your funds.

Received an unsolicited call earlier from this number, with someone purporting to be from the IT department. They insisted there was an issue with my laptop.
