I've had to block this number along with a bunch of other scammers. Honestly, that call blocker is the best gadget I've got in my home. If you're tired of the nuisance, seriously, you should consider getting one!

I’m inundated with these pesky calls, too! The moment I pick up, they simply cut off. Just this afternoon, I received two within a mere three minutes. Another annoying one is 01513249797. There are countless others besides! From today onwards, we’ve made the decision to forgo our landline entirely; it’s becoming far too bothersome. Being of a certain age, it’s a real struggle to keep getting up and down to answer the phone. So, it looks like it’ll be mobile calls only from here on out!

Some bloke called "David" claiming to be from Microsoft rang me saying there was something wrong with my pc! Had a strong Asian accent! When I asked him to say his name again and spell it out, he just ended the call straight away!

Total scam! Don’t pick up if this number rings. Some guy with an Asian accent said my computer’s got issues!!!

Received a call from a number linked to Sc***horpe. The chap on the other end claimed to be from Windows, insisting there was some issue with my PC and that if I switched it on, he could sort it out for me. However, as soon as I began to probe him a bit further, he abruptly ended the call. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Do not respond, as they informed me that my internet was dysfunctional. Subsequently, they inquired about additional details. I provided my phone number and then rang BT to lodge a complaint regarding the issue.

Got a call claiming to be from TPS management checking if Ive had any nuisance calls. I just said only this one! The bloke kept pushing me to verify my info to ‘protect’ my number properly. When I told him I’m not giving out personal stuff on an open call, he just ended it. Smells like a scam trying to nab your details to me?

I keep receiving calls from this number, but whenever I pick up, there’s silence on the other end. After a moment, some robotic voice chimes in with a curt “goodbye” before ending the call. I have a sneaky suspicion it’s one of those automated systems that rings several folks at once, only engaging with whoever decides to hang up first. Quite bizarre, if you ask me!

This morning, an Asian bloke called me on my mobile using my name. I told him I couldn’t understand what he was saying, so he hung up and called back. He said he was from Microsoft’s tech support, part of the security team, and that my Windows 10 had major issues. He wanted me to follow his instructions to fix my computer. I questioned him and he ended the call. I phoned Microsoft, and they said they don’t call people about problems like that. Then I reported it to Action Fraud, and they told me it’s a known scam number that should be blocked immediately. David Glover

Last year, I fell victim to this dodgy company, and surprise, surprise, they've rung me again using a different number. This time, they’re spinning a tale about partnering with the Government to recover funds I’m supposedly entitled to, claiming their operation has gone belly up. They insisted they had to reverse a payment from PayPal, as it was supposedly on hold. I pushed back, informing him that the money had been sitting safely in my bank account for the past year after PayPal conducted their investigations into their deceitful practices. The chap wouldn’t take no for an answer. I decided to end the call, but lo and behold, he had the audacity to ring me straight back - this time, I didn’t see the number blocked.

An Asian man rang me up, claiming there was an issue with my Windows software and that it was sending them error notifications. He requested that I log into my computer. I pushed back against his request, and he abruptly hung up on me. Sounds like a scam, doesn’t it?

I’ve just received a rather dubious phone call claiming there was an issue with my internet connection. The chap on the line couldn’t even identify my internet service provider and insisted I log into my computer. I had to inform him that I neither possess a computer nor have internet access. Shortly after that, the call was abruptly ended. The caller had a noticeable Asian accent.

Got a call from an Asian woman on my mobile, she asked for me by name and said she was ringing from the TPS. She then asked if I had TPS on my landline, I said yes. I received three phone calls this morning from an Asian chap claiming that my computer had been compromised. I'm quite convinced he was the same individual who called me earlier from a private number, pretending to be from the road traffic accident department. Got a call today from a chap with a South Asian accent asking to speak to whoever pays the phone bill. When I asked if he knew the name, he said no. I told him I’m signed up to the TPS so his call was against the rules and he had no business ringing me. He said sorry and hung up. Seeing the other reviews, I’d say this number is dodgy and best avoided!

Got a call from some bloke called "John" about my windows earlier at 15.10. He had a pretty strong Asian accent. Asked if I owned the computer, I said no, then he kept asking who did and if he could ring back later. I told him no, and after a bit of silence, he just hung up. Heard about these scams on the telly, but I reckon older folks might fall for it more easily.

Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming he was with some trade company offering 3 free website pages. First rang me on a number I didn’t recognise, then this one. He said I’d only need to cover the registration and domain fees. Wasn’t having a ‘no’ for an answer. The phone showed the call came from Sc###horpe. Proper annoying call. Got three calls from this number today claiming to be from Windows about some fraud on my computer. The third time they phoned, they threatened to block my PC cause I’d hung up twice already. I told them off and hung up again, but then they started ringing my mobile too, so I had to block that number there as well. All the callers sounded like they were Asian. This number rang me earlier claiming it was about nuisance calls I supposedly got. The guy asked me for a reference number and said I’d already paid my phone bill using my debit card. The bloke, who sounded Asian, mentioned that my ref number was meant to be 16 digits long. I refused to share any info with him. I told him that if he was legit, he’d already have that info. Turns out he was fishing for my sort code and bank account details. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND DON’T HAND OVER YOUR INFO TO THESE LOT!

I got a couple of these calls today. The best way I’ve found to handle them without being rude is to ask “which person in the office are you trying to reach?” They usually assume they’ve dialled a company by mistake and hang up sharpish. It’s my go-to trick and it never fails! x

Got a bloke on the phone who said his name was Mike, sounded like he had a thick Asian accent, claiming he was from something to do with Windows. I told him no thanks and ended the call. He called back asking why I’d cut off, so I hung up again. This happened three times. I asked him why he kept bothering me, and he just asked why I’d hung up three times. Eventually, I put the phone down and left it off the hook. Sometimes the caller ID showed no number or “unknown,” but a few times it was this same number. It was getting pretty creepy, made me feel quite unsettled in the end.

Got a call from an Asian woman with terrible English claiming she was from the Windows IT team and needed to get into my computer. We already have our own IT people, so I knew straight away it was a fake. Pretty sure this is a scam tryin to get into folks' PCs. When I questioned her, she just dropped the call. Definitely watch out for this!

Man sounded like he might be from Asia. Had to push him to say who he was representing. Said something about a "washing machine company"??? Asked me questions about my Hotpoint washer. Not the first time I've had a call like this. Told him I don’t actually own one and he hung up quick when I asked where he got my number from.

Just got a call from this number. Some guy with an Asian accent, calling himself Roger, said he was from Microsoft and claimed my PC was compromised. Classic scam stuff where they try to make you believe they can spot your computer using a big complicated number that actually shows up on every single computer. The number he gave me was 888DCA60-FC0A-11CF-8F0F-00C04FD7D062, which I think is related to Microsoft SendZipFileToTarget. Best thing to do? Ignore and hang up. Not to be trusted.

I got a call yesterday, 29/06/17 around 2.42pm. I figured it’d be a cold call, so I answered anyway. The person asked if I was Mrs Maclean, and I said yes. Then they asked, "How are you today?" I replied "I'm fine, how about you?" and then the caller just hung up. It was a man with an Asian accent. I wanted to tell him not to call again, but today the same thing happened at the same time and from the same number. I’m on the TPS list but it seems useless - I still get cold calls on my mobile, landline, and even my husband’s phone.

Got this caller with a mix of American and Indian accent. He kept getting my name wrong, so I asked how the weather was in Sc###horpe. Didn’t get an answer. Then I asked if he was calling from Sc###horpe, and suddenly he covers the phone and says “F#%k you” three times before hanging up. Made me chuckle.

I just got a ring from this number, someone with an Indian accent saying her name was Katie. She claimed to be from Windows and told me there were problems with my computer. She wanted me to get on my computer and she'd guide me through fixing it. I told her I didn't know who she was and that she might be a hacker, so I wasn't gonna follow any instructions just ‘cause she said she was from Microsoft. Then she told me to just do it anyway, but I refused. She then said something like she’d block me if I didn’t comply, and then suddenly hung up. It felt really threatening.

Got a call from a guy claiming to be from a firm called Assist. He wanted to ask me questions about me and my home, saying there'd be a recorded message at the end. I told him I don't do surveys, but he said it wasn’t a survey. Then he asked how old I was, so I just ended the call.

Earlier today, around half eleven in the morning, I received a rather dubious call from a gentleman of Asian descent claiming to be representing BT. He informed me that my broadband service was to be suspended for an entire week. When I mentioned that I would reach out to BT (not even my actual provider, mind you) for clarification, he promptly hung up on me. Honestly, it's high time that these fraudulent calls are tackled head-on. It's exasperating to deal with enough daily troubles without the added annoyance of such bothersome interruptions! Surely, there must be a way to address this issue effectively.

They ring me on my phone like 5 times a day, its so annoying. Lucky I've got a call blocker on! How come they’re still able to pester us like this? Shouldn’t they have been stopped by now?

I just signed up for a new domain yesterday with a firm I never dealt with before. I handed them a phone number I hardly ever share. Yet, in just this morning I’ve had over ten calls from different folks about my domain or internet stuff etc. I’ve blocked every single one and plan to put in an official complaint to the domain registrar since I switched my privacy settings right away. Not sure if it’ll help much, but honestly, I’m so glad for this site and my call blocker!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from some Telephone Preference Service, claiming he’d sorted it so I wouldn’t get marketing calls anymore. Then he went on about me being a pensioner (I’m only 43, so that set alarm bells ringing), asked about my landline and how I pay the bill with my debit card, and started fishing for the card’s expiry date. I played along for a bit just to see how far he’d go, then told him he was a complete waste of time and likely a scammer. Funny enough, he just hung up on me after that.

I received a phone call from this number, and an Oriental gentleman informed me that someone living at my residence had been part of a car mishap. It strikes me that they’re likely fishing for your personal information and banking details. In my opinion, they might bide their time before attempting to spook you into transferring your funds, masquerading as your bank, so they can siphon your savings into their own account. It bears a resemblance to those scam calls about 'banking surveys' aiming to extract your personal and bank information.

Got a call from 01724 786380, some Asian lady asking for someone with my surname, which isn’t me. Told her no one by that name lives here and asked if I was the account holder. She said she’d got this phone number and address for a Mr surname. I explained we keep getting calls for that person and told her to take us off their list since they don’t live here. She agreed, but then called again like two hours later asking for the same person. I just ended the call straight away.

I said yes and she just ended the call. Today a bloke called and claimed there was a problem with my IP causing viruses on other users' devices. I asked what I should do and he told me to switch on my computer. I told him I don't own one and he quickly hung up.

Just like loads of others, I had three calls where nothing was said and then a lady called Jenny with a thick Asian accent from TPS rang me. She knew my surname and first initial and asked if I lived at my address and postcode. I told her she was mistaken and no one here has that name. She said sorry and ended the call right before I was about to hang up. I'm also listed in the phone book, so I guess I need to get my name taken off it.
