After looking into it, it turns out this was a scam call coming from Scarborough, up in North Yorkshire.

I received a phone call claiming to be from BT, warning me that my internet service would be disconnected due to some suspicious behaviour. They asked me to call back by pressing a specific number.

I got a recorded call saying BT was about to disconnect me and to hit 4. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a voicemail from someone pretending to be BT saying they were going to disconnect our broadband and landline because of some ‘suspicious activity’. Bit odd really, since we don’t even have BT with us. My missus just ended the call right after hearing that first bit.
