11 daysGot a call from this number about some online Visa help, they said someone tried to charge £599 without my permission and to press 1 if it wasn’t me. The person, who spoke with an Asian accent and called himself ‘Roy Hope’, mentioned purchases on Amazon. They somehow already had my email and tried to convince me to share a code supposedly sent by Amazon, saying it’d help them get into my account. Of course, I didn’t give it to them - just wanted to see what they were up to. After a bit more probing, Roy just ended the call.
