Mentioned something about working with local councils like others have said, but the prices seemed quite reasonable. We didn’t buy anything since we already use another local supplier. Had a quick look at their website and it seems legit, so maybe they’re just trying to boost their sales a bit? They’re based in Scarborough.

I’ve been constantly hassled by this guy, Lee Rushfirth, who totally scammed me and my business. He charged way more than agreed, tricked me with false promises, said I'd get free products that never arrived, and then slapped on VAT plus a hefty extra fee afterwards. Honestly, this bloke is a right con artist. The company’s salespeople seem clueless and dishonest. They really need some proper training, and managers should definitely investigate after I emailed a complaint. Honestly, steer well clear of these lot!

I ended up visiting this site after hearing some negative things from one of my new managers at a branch I recently opened. They were worried about using CK Ink Direct, the company I’d asked them to order from, and wanted me to check it out. What they didn’t know was that I’ve been buying from these guys for around four or five years now, first dealing with a chap called Mark, then Gareth (sorry, can’t remember last names!). Both have always been really polite and helpful, and my orders have always been delivered quickly and in good condition. Honestly, this company has saved me loads of money over time and it’s been a pleasure to work with them. I reckon one issue with sites like this is that people mostly post negative comments and hardly ever leave positive ones, so I thought I’d drop a line to balance things out a bit. After reading this post, I found out my parcel came back because the postage wasn’t enough or something like that. Now they’re sending me the proper cartridges instead. So, maybe it’s not all a write-off after all. Also, I’m not sure how to get rid of the first message, so I hope this one will do instead of that.

I ordered ink cartridges from this company before and they were really nice on the phone. The first batch of original cartridges worked perfectly. Then they called me a few more times and I decided to buy another set. This time, the cartridges arrived labelled as ‘eco’ ones, but none of them worked with my Canon printer. I called them straight away and even tested them while still on the line; sure enough, they didn’t work. I sent the cartridges back using normal post as they requested. They said they’d get the tech team to look at it and promised to ring me back, but I never heard anything. After 10 days I called them, and they claimed they never got my parcel, so they couldn’t send a replacement. Instead, they offered me a discount on my next purchase! The guy just kept repeating their company policy over and over and didn’t acknowledge any fault on their side. I lost £51 and wouldn’t recommend buying from them. Avoid if you can.

I noticed some missed calls from this number and decided to check it out. Turns out, the printer cartridge firm uses this same freephone 08009990500, which I've called before without any issues. Bit odd though. Anyway, I’ve been a customer of theirs for a while, and yes, their sales pitch sounds a bit dodgy but honestly, which sales pitch isn’t? Of course they're pushing ink, that's their game. I’ve never had any issues with their eco-refurbished stuff and honestly, it’s helped me save a lot. Paying half as much for print quality that’s just as good is a bargain in my book. Dropping a fortune on cartridges doesn’t sit well with me, so no complaints here!

Back in Feb 2015, a woman told me the firm was called YPCC, which apparently stands for Your Printer Cartridge Company. She kept saying they only sell genuine Epson cartridges, no refills or compatibles, over and over. They claimed to have some cancelled stock so were offering prices way lower than usual. The prices seemed way too good to be true, and I've heard the same line before, so I got suspicious. I decided to note down their number and planned to ring them later. They seem to have a website and appear to be located in Scarborough from what I could see. The freephone number she gave me matched the one on their site. Still can't tell if they're legit or not!

Avoid CKInk operating under Your Printer Cartridge Company. They don’t provide real cartridges at all. I’ve contacted trading standards and sent some cartridges back with a letter explaining the issue. Totally misleading at the very least - don’t trust them!

Got a call from this number pushing printer cartridges, claiming they had unbeatable prices but they weren’t refills. I told them I’d check the prices first and ring back. Then the caller said they’d be in and out of the office all day, which felt a bit dodgy, and said they’d ring me again. Naturally, I did a bit of digging and guess what - they’re not even nearby, no connection to the local council or anything like that. Just another scam. Now I’m waiting for their follow-up call so I can give them a piece of my mind about their cartridges!

My receptionist got a call about some clearance printer cartridges supposedly available locally. They insisted these weren’t refills or compatibles, but when the order showed up, it was actually Jet Tec cartridges - which are definitely remanufactured, a kind of refill (I know this because we always record calls). That annoyed me a lot, but to top it off, the parcel came all the way from Scarborough, nowhere close to London where we are. Thankfully, they were invoiced, so I just returned them straight away. What a total rip-off!
