Got a call supposedly from BT Openreach, this Indian guy said my internet was running slow and they needed to sort it out - which I hadn’t noticed at all. I was suspicious straight away, so he passed me onto a woman who just kept repeating everything he said, seemed weird. Tried to ask her a few things but she just hung up on me. Checked the number with 1471 and ended up here. Proper dodgy, glad I didn’t fall for it. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from a guy with a really heavy Indian accent claiming to be from Ofgen, said he's offering to cut my landline rental to £30 a month. Today I’ve had this happen twice already!! First ring was at 8.17 in the morning!! As soon as we picked up, the caller just dropped the line. And it just happened again a few minutes ago. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now. Despite being on the TPS list, these pesky calls still keep showing up...

I tried to get through to the call blocking team but ended up just hanging up. When I dialled the number again, it just kept ringing with nobody answering. Feels like it could be a scam to me.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to offer a call blocking service. Turns out it was just another trick. I’ve now set my phone to block numbers myself. Don’t fall for it!

Got a call on my hardly ever used landline, thought it might be dodgy. Had a look at the missed number after and honestly glad I didn’t pick up. It came through at about 9.30 in the evening.

Just got a call from this number a little while ago, and the person said they were calling from BT call blocking. She mentioned that since there’s been more phone scams where I live, they were going to upgrade my blocking service. When I told her I’m not a BT customer and don’t use their services, she just hung up on me. Guess they didn’t like that answer!

Some bloke named Derek Smith from Call Blicking at BT supposedly rang me. Before he actually spoke, there was this robo-dialling going on. When he finally got on, he insisted it wasn't a scam or anything.

Another dodgy number has shown up on my phone! I’ve gone ahead and blocked it. The chap on the line was apparently representing Ofcom, insisting he could assist me in halting all those pesky telemarketers and nuisance calls. However, as soon as I declined his 'help', he turned quite rude. What a cheek!

I got a call from some Asian guy pretending to be from Ofcom. He said there’s a bunch of annoying calls coming to my area and if I upgraded with them they’d stop. Total scam, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a guy named "Mark" who sounded Asian. He claimed to be from the TPS and went on about blocking annoying calls. I told him he sounded just like the people he's trying to stop, then he quickly ended the call. Definitely felt like some sort of scam.

Got a call about 7:50 this morning from a bloke who claimed he was investigating loads of scam reports around here, especially ones linked to Amazon. I politely said no thanks and ended the call.
