I received a rather peculiar phone call today (2nd September 2015) from a company that identified themselves as Albany Assured. They were inquiring about a so-called "minor collision" to update some file or other. The truth of the matter is, I've not been involved in any collisions whatsoever! When I probed a bit and asked how they managed to obtain my contact details, she stated it was from the MIB. I explained to her that was downright impossible since I tend to keep my number private and, moreover, I've never had an accident to speak of. I also reminded her that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, meaning she's in breach of the law by ringing me. Following that, she swiftly ended the call...
