Got a call today from a firm called Albany Assured saying they needed to sort out some paperwork regarding a small accident I supposedly had. This was the 2nd of September 2015. Thing is, I've never been involved in any crashes! When I asked where they found my number, the lady on the phone said it came from the MIB. I explained there's no way that's true since I never share my number, haven't had any accidents, and I'm signed up with the Telephone Preference Service - so what they're doing is illegal. She just ended the call straight away...
