some guy called me saying he was from haringey council, claiming they'd cleared up a pathway or something - i had no idea what he was on about. also, i never gave them my landline number, so how on earth did he get it? definitely felt fishy to me.

This was just like the last time someone rang me. I picked up, they used my name, then all of a sudden the call dropped. Tried ringing back and got some weird "error detected" notice. I only bothered calling again 'cause you never know, it might’ve been a proper call from the Isles of Scilly.

these scammers are clever, they use some kinda web trick to make their number seem real. hope someone out there forgives them and shows em some kindness.

I got a voicemail from an automated voice that just repeated my name. When I rang back, the call was picked up by a robot saying “sorry, error detected” before it suddenly cut off. I’ve blocked the number straight away!
