6 yearsThis morning I got a call from a young lady called Esdxer who said she was from some government advice group. She told me I was owed a payment from the government for the last 20 years, with a reference number ref00146008. She asked for my bank details to supposedly send the money. When I asked whose name would be on the cheque, she just pushed for my details again. After a moment, she went to speak to someone else and then came back claiming the name on the cheque matched mine. I told her to just send the cheque and that she didn’t need my bank info.
