Got a message telling me to ring 01709470508 to sort out a payment for my phone contract, or they’d restrict my service. The text looked like it came from my phone provider, but when I looked up the number, it’s actually linked to some shady outfit in Rotherham and Leeds. I haven’t bothered calling it - looks like a phishing scam to me. Definitely don’t ring the number, it’s dodgy. My network never sends texts with phone numbers like that for payments.
