In the last few days, my answerphone has been getting a bunch of calls from this number and others that look alike, but none of them left a message. Today my wife answered twice - first a bloke, then a woman, both saying they were from TalkTalk and warning that the internet was running slow. My wife told them she doesn’t really use the PC and also said I wasn’t home. Some other numbers they rang from were 01709 315487, 01709 251688 and 01709 351548.

someone called saying they were from talktalk, which is weird since i don't even use them. i kept him waiting when he asked me to boot up my pc, then just made some random buzzing noises and told him it was a tracking thing. he ended up cursing and dropped the call. over the past week, there’s been a bunch of missed calls from numbers that look alike, must be around 50 or so.

Somebody called saying they were from TalkTalk and said I needed to turn my computer on straight away because there was this big red warning from TalkTalk that needed fixing. When I told him I wasn’t convinced he was legit, he just ended the call on me.
