I picked up to one of those usual hmrc scam calls. I’ve got a couple before so I knew right away it was dodgy, but I was curious and hit 1 just to see. Ended up speaking to a really rude asian woman who just hung up immediately after I asked her what she wanted. Classic hmrc phishing nonsense, really. Not sure why i even bothered to play along!

I rang the number because it looked a lot like an hmrc line, but a recorded message came on saying that there were no services available at the moment on that number.

This might be one of those scam calls where they claim you owe £3000 and threaten to sue you for tax evasion if you don’t pay up. Definitely sounds dodgy to me.
