Got a text claiming it was from HMRC saying I had a tax refund waiting. Just so you know, HMRC don’t send texts about tax refunds, so this has to be a dodgy scam. Watch out!

Some bloke calling himself a special HMRC agent, with a thick Indian accent, warned me I’d end up in jail unless I sorted out some supposed unpaid taxes over the phone. What a load of rubbish! I reckon plenty might actually believe this nonsense. Honestly, it was pretty scary at first. Shut the line down and blocked the number straight away - it’s clearly a scam! Make sure you report it so nobody else gets caught out!

Someone rang my elderly aunt pretending to be from the tax office or something. Such a dodgy call!
