Got a robo call from someone sayin they were Rodger from a housing disrepair dept about an issue I supposedly raised with my flat. I rent privately and I never said anything. My landlord's clueless too, so pretty sure it’s just a scam?

Absolute worst kind of scammers ever.

Loads of people wonder how these calls get your number. Most likely it’s an auto-dialler, so you’re not being singled out. Basically, the system just rings numbers in sequence like 01234 567890, then 567891, then 567892, and so on. It’s just a numbers game; sooner or later, someone will pick up and take the bait.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know. Didn’t pick up and no voicemail either. Looked it up here and looks like it’s one of those scam calls. Blocked it straight away.

Got a call about some supposed damage to my house. I told the bloke to bugger off and have a go at himself. Then I just blocked the number straight away.
