Reporting these calls doesn’t take any longer than just sharing your experience here. While immediate results shouldn’t be expected, the cops don’t yet have a full picture of how widespread this scam is or the newest tricks being used. If folks who receive these dodgy calls and messages don’t report them and raise a fuss with their MP, nothing will change and these con artists will keep on ripping people off.

Residing in Portsmouth and having no prior knowledge of this number-which clearly isn’t local-I instantly felt a twinge of suspicion. I remarked, "This is obviously a scam call, and I'm going to block this number," to which the response was, "Thank you for your time, have a pleasant day." Regrettably, some individuals may fall prey to such calls and ultimately find themselves taken advantage of.
