I just got a call from someone claiming to be from my nearby Halifax branch. They asked if I was alright during this pandemic and if I needed any help. I told them no and hung up. The weird thing was, they already knew my name. The number wasn’t even the same as Halifax’s official contact, and I’m pretty certain a bank wouldn’t reach out like that?! Felt really legit at first though...
