Some guy called saying he was the local conservation advisor. He started asking about what kind of roof insulation I had and if I was aged between 55 and 80. I just told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. He said he wasn’t selling anything, but you can make up your own mind about that.

Someone called asking for a Mr Woods, which I have no clue about. I just told them they had the wrong number and started to end the call. Just as I was about to hang up, the person suddenly started babbling trying to persuade me to stay on the line - pretty clear they were pushing some kind of sales pitch.
