I received a rather alarming message claiming that my National Insurance number was at risk of being frozen, along with all my possessions, unless I pressed 1 immediately to respond. Quite a nerve-wracking experience, to say the least!

Got a call from an automated voice telling me about some ‘case number’ and warning me that my NI number could be suspended if I didn’t deal with it. Surely it’s a scam because if there was a problem with my NI, I’d expect a proper letter or official contact, not some dodgy phone call. Feels like they’re just trying to scam me or get my personal info.
