Got a call from a number I didn't recognise, so I just let it ring out. Looking at what other people have said, it seems like it's just another scam. I've gone ahead and blocked it now.

This number popped up again and since I remembered it from previous calls, I just ignored it and didn't pick up. I'm also signed up with the telephone preference service, so I really shouldn't be getting calls like this!

Got a call from 01708 377522, Options UK, someone named Jasmine was asking about loft insulation. I told her cold calling is against the law, but she just told me to "go ahead and call the cops then". I mentioned I’m on the TPS, and she got all defensive and shut up when I asked more questions. Proper waste of time that was!

We weren’t home when they rang and didn’t leave any voicemail. I looked up the number and it’s linked to Gallows Corner MOT’s in Romford, with reviews on Google just a week old. Weird thing is, their garage is like 70 miles away from where we live, so why ring our landline? Sounds like they’re desperate for business to just be cold calling like this. Plus, if that number isn’t theirs anymore, then those recent Google reviews seem pretty suspicious. What’s going on with that?

got a call from someone claiming to be a local energy advisor, said she wasn’t trying to sell me anything. I told her a few times I already have loft insulation and not interested. Before I hung up, she said goodbye but I’d swear she muttered something rude under her breath. quite unprofessional really.

My BT call blocker didn’t stop this one, which is weird as I’ve never seen the number pop up before. I’m guessing it’s either on the BT Blacklist already or it’s actually an international number, which I usually block anyway. Some of the comments here say it’s shown as international, so that might be what's going on.

Someone called asking for Mr Horner, I told them they had the wrong number. When I asked who was calling, the woman with a British accent just said it didn’t matter and it wasn’t my concern. Then she just ended the call.

I got a random call from a lady with a British accent who said her name was 'Janice'. She claimed she was an 'efficiency advisor' for my area and asked me to verify information about my loft insulation. When I asked if she was ringing from a business, she quickly hung up on me. Sounds like a cold call from some dodgy call centre that doesn’t want to be traced or fined by TPS or Ofcom. Definitely add this number to your block list.

Got a call from a lady who somehow already knew my name, claiming to be from some UK Energy Efficiency scheme. She started asking about insulation they supposedly put in my home. I wasn’t having any of it and told her to mind her own business, then ended the call. Quite cheeky!

So just yesterday I got a call about insulation or something energy related. When I asked how they got my number, they just said "from provided data." I then wanted to know where exactly this data was sourced from, citing the data protection act, and they cut me off and ended the call!

When I picked up, there was that obvious pause you get with call centres, then a voice came through saying something like "hul" with all the usual call centre sounds in the back, but they ended up just hanging up. I've since blocked the number - I'm on TalkTalk.

Got a call from someone who seemed to know my name and said they were from UK Energy Efficiency, talking about loft insulation. When I brought up the TPS, she quickly claimed they were fully approved by the government - yeah right, didn’t seem to have a clue about the TPS! As soon as I asked for her name, company details and address, the line went dead on me straight away.

I got a call supposedly about energy advice for my local area. Weird thing was, the number looked like it was from the UK but it also popped up as an international one. I even checked with BT call guardian, and it said the call was announced, yet the person got right through and asked for me by name. I've blocked the number since then.

This morning I got a call where the lady actually used my name, which caught me off guard. She quickly said it wasn't a sales pitch, then claimed to be the local energy advisor for my neighbourhood. Bit suspicious if you ask me. I probably should’ve just let it ring out. She came across as polite though, and I almost felt bad saying no. In the end, I told her I wasn’t interested in any loft insulation.

Got a call from 01708 377522, loads of noise in the background. The bloke asked for me by name and said they were ringing folks around my area, between certain ages, who own their homes. Then he claimed my roof was missing or something. He went on to ask if it was a flat, I said yes, and told him the freeholder is the building owner. After that, I just ended the call.
