A chap rang claiming it was a follow-up regarding a conversation I allegedly had about needing two windows replaced last year. To be frank, that’s a load of nonsense, as I had all my windows and doors sorted out a couple of years back. He insisted it wasn’t a cold call and that I had requested them to get back in touch about the window replacements. I pointed out that he really ought to refrain from calling me since I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service. Besides, if I did find myself in need of new windows, I’d much rather contact a local tradesperson than have a natter with some random on the phone. He didn’t seem too pleased with my response!

Bloke with a Home Counties accent, sounded quite posh. Had my full name and address which was a bit creepy. Said he was from something called "The Energy Saving Scheme" and claimed to be 'government accredited' to see if I qualified for an insulation grant. When I asked him to verify the company name and give me their registration number, he just cut off the call. Looks like they're after some money in the end, so I flagged it as Dangerous rather than harassment.

Got a call from a British-sounding woman, with kids chattering in the background like she was working from home. She claimed to be from the Government checking if I qualified for a winter insulation discount. I told her I wasn’t interested and asked her to delete my info, but she hung up before I could finish, so doubt that’ll happen. Just another annoying call, and hope they’re spending more on phone charges than they’re actually making off people!

When I pressed her for details, she was a bit dodgy but mentioned ECO as the firm and said something about Victoria House in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Thing is, the number’s got a Romford area code. The call was about solar panels, but it didn’t seem legit or official from any government agency. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it.

Finding it hard to answer the phone, I’m afraid I snapped a bit at the young woman. I received a call from someone who seemed to know my rather uncommon name, which led my daughter to believe it was a genuine caller. They mentioned they were reaching out regarding some fundraising efforts. However, when I tried to return the call, I was met with silence on the line. I plan to report this since I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service.

Got a call on 27th March at 12:37, but there was no one speaking, just some faint office sounds in the background. Pretty suspicious. Blocked the number straight away!
