Got a call from someone wanting to talk to the old tenant of my place. Once I told him they’d moved out ages ago, he started saying there was some dodgy downloading happening on my computer that I might not be aware of, and claimed to know I was currently on it. He told me to get to the desktop screen, but I’d already looked up “PC wizard call scams” and knew it was a con. Then I said my computer had just rebooted to install updates, and he just cut the call right there!
