The people behind these calls have absolutely no ties to Microsoft or Windows, they're just out to scam you for cash with their dodgy software. I usually tell them I’m employed at Microsoft and they just hang up straight away. What they’re doing is completely illegal, yet nobody seems to be cracking down on it.

Got a ring from this number just now - some woman with an Asian accent talking about my computer. I’m sick of these calls so I just cut it off halfway through. I’m signed up to the TPS but the calls haven’t stopped. Plus I use number blocking apps and most times the caller ID just says International, Withheld or Unavailable, so I avoid answering them. Honestly, someone really ought to get these lines blocked for good.

Got a call recently from a guy with an Asian accent who said he was from some sort of Windows support team. I told him straight up that I suspected he was just tryna get into my PC to nick my info, and right after I said that, he just ended the call.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft tech support, saying my computer was running slow due to some nasty software I’d downloaded. When I asked if it was a scam, the woman insisted it wasn’t and that they really were Microsoft. I asked for a contact number so I could ring back after turning on my PC, but she just hung up on me. Honestly, why won’t these people just quit calling like we’re fools? These calls are such a nuisance and really need to be stopped. I’m totally fed up; they come almost every night. I wish cold calling was banned altogether - it’s such an invasion of my privacy.

I got a call from someone speaking with a strange foreign accent, saying my computer was infected with some dangerous software. He asked if my computer was switched on. I questioned where he got that info from, and his reply was pretty dodgy. I told him it sounded like a scam. He denied it, but then hung up after I said I'd check with my son who knows loads about computers!
