Have a look at the comments from 06/02 downwards and you might see why we keep getting hassled by these scam calls. There are some posts below that tell you exactly how to report these scams to the police fraud database and other useful tips. Scammers don’t want this info getting out and might try to hide it. But the thing is, most folks don’t bother taking action. That’s why scammers just carry on laughing all the way to the bank, knowing most scams won’t get reported. Once a scam works (which is way too often), they just move on, changing the number but using the same trick.

I received a rather peculiar phone call from this number on Tuesday, 31st January 2023. A chap claimed to be associated with a magazine dedicated to driveways and was keen to chat about mine. It all seemed a bit dodgy, to be honest. He never mentioned anything about payment, but as soon as I informed him that I didn't even own a vehicle and that my driveway was simply cluttered with stones, he quickly lost interest. I refrained from disclosing any further information, and his abrupt change in tone was quite telling. I can't help but wonder if there's something nefarious afoot, perhaps linked to car thefts. This number has rang me twice lately. They began with something like, "I understand you’ve got a drive..." but I just hung up straight away cos I reckon it’s a scam!

I got a call from 01707 819 565 at around 5:40pm today, but it just went to voicemail and there was no message left. I looked it up here and, as I suspected, it seems like it's probably a scam!

Got a call from 01707819565 earlier today at around 4:41 pm. Like before, I didn't pick up since calls from this number always go straight to voicemail and, unsurprisingly, no message was left. What caught me off guard was seeing on this site that the caller is supposedly ‘John from the Driveway Centre’. I figured “John” would’ve moved on with a different tale by now. I remember getting a similar call claiming to be from him a few years back.

Got a call from 01707819565 around 2:38 this afternoon. Some bloke who said his name was John, claiming I had a drive at the driveway centre or something. I just said “Yeah, I put it there” and then they abruptly ended the call. Seems dodgy, I reckon it’s a scam.
