Got a message this arvo saying: On 08-03-2024, between 12pm and 5pm, our engineer is booked to do your heating safety inspection. The appointment’s set unless you ring 01707 808037 before 5pm, up to 24 hours ahead, to reschedule. Regards, TSG. No clue what this is, and I’m not gonna bother phoning them back. Feels like a total SCAM to me!

I think it might be tsg. I’ve got a heating engineer booked for this afternoon, but just now I got a call from someone named Charlotte. She asked if I lived at the place and then hung up right after I said yes. Now I guess I’ll just wait and see if anyone actually shows up later on.

Totally a scam, don’t trust it at all!

I got a message from the same number, didn’t book anything with them so thought I’d look them up here first - good job I did! Blocked the number straight away.

I got the exact same message but just ignored it. Then the following day, on a Friday, they called me apologising that they couldn’t make the original date they’d given. They tried to reschedule for Saturday instead. Since it was last minute and I hadn’t checked with TSG, I didn’t confirm anything. I’m definitely not letting them in now.

On Bank Holiday Friday, I got a message saying my gas safety check was scheduled for Saturday afternoon, also a bank holiday. I’m from Surrey and the call came from Hertfordshire. At 5.15 pm, some bloke, who looked African, turned up at my door. He wasn’t wearing any company tee or anything and there was no van nearby. I reckon he was dodgy, for sure.
